App Store screenshot sizes 2026

Every iPhone screenshot dimension in pixels, the iPad sizes App Store Connect insists on, and the Google Play asset requirements for phone, tablet and Chromebook. Sizes marked Preset are one click away in the ShotForge editor.

Apple App Store screenshot sizes

App Store Connect groups devices by display size, not by model. You only have to upload the required groups: everything else is scaled down from them. Landscape uses the same numbers with width and height swapped, and Apple takes one to ten screenshots per group and localization.

Google Play asset requirements

Google specifies ranges and aspect ratios rather than one pixel size per device, so the same file works across a form factor. Every screenshot is a JPEG or 24-bit PNG without an alpha channel, between 320 and 3840 pixels per side, and the long side may never exceed twice the short side.

Three things the tables do not say

Design for the largest group first. A 6.9" iPhone master scales down cleanly, while an upscaled small screenshot looks soft in exactly the place buyers look.
Both stores accept a set per localization. Swapping only the headline text per language is usually the cheapest conversion win on the whole listing.
Tablet screenshots must show a tablet layout. A stretched phone screenshot is the fastest way to look unfinished on a large screen.
